How it all started
Turley Textiles Ltd. was founded 25 years ago by Graham and Mary Waddingtonat a time when Graham had been made redundant after 25 years in cloth design and manufacture.
Due to financial reasons, the business was started with the UK home trade, where they had neither customers or even samples to show, however, steady progress was made and about fifteen years ago, they saw that the needs of firms who make up garments for the Clerical, Legal, Academic and Masonic areas, were not being met, and so a range of fabrics and braids were developed for these areas.
To further strengthen the company, Paul and Sue Jowett were brought in, Paul having extensive knowledge of Theatrical areas and Sue giving vital support in administration areas.
As a result of our history, we are now probably the largest manufacturer and stockist of fabric, braids, fringes, embroideries, cords and cinctures for all these areas.

Paul Jowett - Managing Director - Likes to think that he alone runs the company, but would not be able to do so without the rest of the team. Paul has nearly twenty years of experiece in Textiles and if you want to view our range, please contact him - paul@turleytextiles.co.uk
Sue Jowett - Director & Company Secretary - Sue plays a vital role in the company on the administration side, not only because Sue pays the wages!! Sue has great experience in office administration.
Peter Dale- Sales Manager - Peter has had many years experience within the garment trade and is now steering the new side of the company, which is specialising in ready made garments and surplus stock. He can be contacted on peter@turleytex.com
David Jowett - Accounts Manager - Paul's Father and a member of staff with over 40 years experience in textiles and who ensures that orders are invoiced and ensures that accounts are kept up to date.
Eric Mallinson - Percher (fabric inspector) - Eric is now working part time and is yet another member of our staff who has too many years textile knowledge to mention. Eric has worked at Turley for many years and ensures that your fabric will be despatched in Perfect Condition.
